Declan and Miranda follow a string of strange coincidences with amazing results. A fireman fully engulfed in flames emerges completely unburned. That Fireman saves a cat, which saves its owner from a gas leak. The cat lady then saves a choking person in a diner. The diner lady, a flight attendant, has a flight the next day to Phoenix - which Declan and Miranda decide to take. In Phoenix they stay at a motel, where they find a wristwatch in Declan's room.
